Such a great solution. Heartwarming to read what can be achieved when you see the other side of the story and consider the Flicker’s needs.

Great article. We have a "similar but different" problem in Maryland in the U.S.: great blue herons. We have a goldfish pond and they periodically wipe us out. Also protected, so can't shoot them. Not that I would ever have the chance: they are sneaky! :-)

A friend round the corner here in Vancouver had the exact same problem and all amount of shiny whirly things proved useless. Built a box in a nearby tree: everyone happy. Flickers can do huge damage. Great to hear everything else is in running order. See it clearly in my mind's eye!
